FOIL DRIVE: Parallel Y Lead for Small Batteries

The Parallel Y Lead is designed for use exclusively with two Small 4.2Ah Batteries on the Assist PLUS. By joining the batteries together in parallel, you can achieve a medium-capacity setup while still keeping each battery under the 160Wh airline limit. This makes it possible to travel with your Assist PLUS, as most airlines will allow you to bring two or three of these batteries on board.

When using the Parallel Y Lead, it is essential that only Small 4.2Ah Batteries are connected and that both are fully charged to 100 percent with no more than a five percent difference between them. Each battery must be charged individually, and they should never remain connected via the Y Lead during charging. The batteries must always be disconnected for airline travel and packed in accordance with airline requirements. Flatwater foiling should be avoided, as it drains the batteries too quickly and accelerates degradation.

Before flying, you must check with your chosen airline in advance and follow all dangerous goods regulations carefully, as these rules are enforced very strictly.
