A highly successful dinghy class, the RS 2000 (formerly the Laser 2000) features active club racing fleets, an established open circuit series, and class championships supported by a strong Class Association.

Incorporating modern performance features such as a gennaker and self-draining cockpit, the RS 2000 delivers exciting sailing with forgiving handling that builds confidence. It is widely used as a training platform by leading organizations including the British Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force sailing programs.

Since becoming the licensed manufacturer in 2013, RS Sailing introduced detailed improvements including new moulds and tooling, helping to modernize and grow the class. The RS 2000 is an ideal transition from structured training into advanced racing techniques.
