Product Details

The Foil Drive External Antenna allows you to add a secondary antenna on the top surface of your board, improving signal strength and connectivity for Gen2 Assist MAX and Assist Slim systems. Each antenna comes with foam that increases your Nose Cone height by 2mm.

This isn’t a standard off-the-shelf antenna. The patent-pending signal attenuation technology was developed in collaboration with a team of engineers specializing in wireless communications for critical applications, ensuring high-performance and reliable connections.

The External Antenna is mainly intended for boards with full carbon foil tracks or carbon layups, where the built-in Gen2 antenna may struggle to transmit signals reliably. Before purchasing, it’s recommended to watch the How To Improve Controller Signal Connectivity Masterclass video on YouTube to determine if your setup requires it.

The antenna works by installing a thin 2mm plate between the electronics box and the board. A thin cable, available in either 130cm or 180cm, runs along the board’s bottom to a small antenna pad mounted on top. The antenna is completely passive, requiring no power or connection to the Foil Drive electronics box. Once installed, it can remain on the board even when the Foil Drive is not in use.

Please note, the External Antenna is not compatible with Foil Drive Gen1 Assist or Assist PLUS systems. Some boards with standard or deep tracks may require longer mast plate bolts—85mm for Assist MAX or 65mm for Assist Slim—to ensure secure engagement with t-nuts. Always measure carefully to avoid damage to your board, Foil Drive, or foil mast, and refer to the provided How-To video for guidance.
