RS Cat 12

The RS CAT 12 is a compact, lively, and confidence-inspiring catamaran designed for beginners, families, and young sailors. As the most accessible model in the RS CAT range, it delivers buoyancy, stability, and easy handling while maintaining the dynamic performance DNA of its larger siblings.

Built using durable RS Comptec PE1 rotomolded construction, the CAT 12 is strong, low-maintenance, and ideal for beach launching and frequent club use. High-buoyancy hulls, a comfortable trampoline, and a concave self-draining deck provide secure seating for up to three crew. Front grab handles and kick-up rudders make launching and recovery simple, while the patented hull gully allows for easy lifting and transport.

Safety remains central to the design, with a reefing mainsail, masthead float, toe straps for capsize recovery, and (on the jib version) a furling jib for easy sail management. Optional accessories such as a single trapeze add versatility for sailors looking to build skills and performance confidence.
