Duotone AL 3BS Fuselages – Streamlined Strength and Performance

Based on the outstanding performance of our 60cm AL 3BS fuselage, the Duotone team has expanded this innovation to longer lengths—introducing the 66cm and 74cm AL 3BS fuselages, which now replace the previous 68cm and 78cm carbon versions.

These updated aluminium fuselages bring several performance advantages. By switching to aluminium, we’ve significantly reduced the cross-sectional area, leading to lower drag and improved hydrodynamics, while increasing overall strength. Despite the shift in material, the weight increase is minimal—just 2.5% more, making this a highly efficient trade-off for the enhanced durability and performance.

Each fuselage features:

• A recessed stabilizer mount to improve water flow,
• Strategic cutouts at the front wing connection point to minimize weight,
• Improved stiffness and control for advanced foiling performance.

While aluminium requires slightly more care—regular rinsing and dismantling—the performance gains are worth the effort. These fuselages are fully compatible with Duotone’s AL 3BS foil system and ideal for riders seeking top-tier responsiveness, reduced drag, and rock-solid construction.
