The Davis J-Base for WindTrak 15 is an optional mounting base that enhances versatility while reducing overall weight aloft by 15 grams compared to the standard WindTrak 15 base. It includes two #10 self-tapping screws for easy installation. Users can mount the J-Base by drilling a pilot hole in the mast and securing it with silicone sealant or Locktite®, tapping the mast for 3/16-inch machine screws, or using epoxy putty to affix it. This lightweight, adaptable base provides a reliable solution for precise wind monitoring.
