Duotone Foilboard Downwinder SLS - 2026

The Downwinder SLS from Duotone is designed for efficient glide, early take-offs, and controlled acceleration in SUP Downwind Foiling and light wind Wing Foiling. Re-designed by Finn and Jeffrey Spencer, the updated shapes are refined for enhanced take-off efficiency while maintaining relatively compact dimensions and strong stability. Compared to previous models, the boards are longer and narrower, supporting improved glide and faster acceleration across skill levels.

The shape features a low rocker and sleek pin tail to promote early lift-off and clean water release. A single concave entry supports smooth touchdowns, while pronounced rail bevels with hard edges in the rear section enhance release and control. The slightly recessed deck improves connection to the foil, and extended carbon foil tracks provide adjustability across different foil setups while contributing to overall weight reduction.

Built using Carbon Custom Sandwich construction, the Downwinder SLS balances lightweight performance with stiffness and durability. The range includes three dedicated shapes suited for smaller and steeper downwind bumps as well as lighter wind wing foiling conditions.
